The past week we cycled north through Finland, roughly following highway 4. See our route in the sidebar. We are now above the arctic circle.
The scenery still was mostly forest but the hills were getting higher. The temperature has descreased to around 15°C. We also encountered some rain.
The next week we will continue to go north towards the North Cape in Norway.
NL: We zijn nu vijf weken onderweg en hebben al 3516 km afgelegd. We zijn nu in Sodankylä in het noorden van Finland.
We zijn de afgelopen week noordwaarts door Finland gefietst, waarbij we grotendeels route 4 hebben gevolgd. Zie onze route op de kaart in de sidebar. We zijn nu boven de noordpoolcirkel.
Het landschap bleef bosrijk maar de heuvels werden gestaag hoger. De temperatuur is gezakt tot zo’n 15°C. Ook hebben we een beetje regen gehad.
De komende week gaan we nog verder noordwaarts naar de Noordkaap in Noorwegen.
